RETURN & REFUND POLICY

1. Our Commitment At Deo Volente & Co, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction. This policy is in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA").
2. Cooling-Off Period (Direct Marketing) If you purchased as a result of direct marketing, you have the right to cancel your order within 5 business days of receiving your goods and return them for a full refund, in accordance with Section 16 of the CPA.
3. Return Window You may return eligible items within 10 business days of delivery, provided the items are:
- Unused, unwashed, and in their original condition
- In original packaging with all tags attached
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
4. Non-Returnable Items The following items cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons:
- Menstrual wellness and intimate health products (once opened or unsealed)
- Earrings and pierced jewellery (for hygiene reasons)
- Customised or personalised items
- Items marked as Final Sale at the time of purchase
These exclusions are permitted under Section 55(2) of the CPA where goods are not reasonably suitable for return due to health or safety reasons.
5. Defective or Damaged Goods In accordance with Section 56 of the CPA, if your item is defective, unsafe, or not fit for purpose, you are entitled within 6 months of delivery to:
- Have the item repaired, or
- Have it replaced, or
- Receive a full refund
Please contact us immediately with photos and a description of the defect.
6. Return Shipping Costs
⚠️ Customer Responsibility: Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. When you placed your order, shipping and delivery fees were not included in the product price. Accordingly, any costs associated with returning goods to us — including courier fees, packaging, and insurance — must be covered by you, the customer.
We recommend using a trackable courier service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit during the return process.
7. How to Initiate a Return
- Email us at deovolenteg@gmail.com with your order number, reason for return, and photos (if applicable).
- Await our written confirmation and return instructions before sending any items.
- Ship the item to: 6 Mahemstreet Boksburg
- Once received and inspected, we will process your refund or exchange within 5–7 business days.
8. Refund Method Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method used at checkout. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider (typically 3–5 additional business days).
9. Exchanges We offer exchanges for incorrect sizes or colours, subject to stock availability. Return shipping to us is at your cost; we will cover the cost of shipping the exchanged item back to you.
